Unibrow: Dealing With Monobrow Eyebrow

Unibrow refers to when your eyebrows actually appear to be one solid line of hair rather than two distinct eyebrows.

For most people, there is a distinct space of hair free skin between the eyebrows but for many people, hair that grows in this space gives the appearance of one big long eyebrow and it can be something they want to deal with.

In some cultures, unibrow (or monobrow) is often seen as being visually undesirable and both men and women can experience it.

Eyebrows are funny in that we tend not to spend much time thinking about them but they often become very noticeable when people start doing things to them like shaping or trying to minimize them.

In that regard, shaving your eyebrow hair is generally not considered to be an effective or desirable method to deal with unibrow since you could accidentally (and very quickly) shave too much hair which will really make your eyebrows noticeable, and for the wrong reason!

Here are some options that people often consider to remove unwanted eyebrow hair.

Tweezing: Using tweezers to pluck individual eyebrow hairs is a popular method of dealing with unibrow. Since it involves removing hairs by the root, it can hurt but can also help you achieve several weeks of hair removal if not longer. You might also consider using a professional (ie. in a beauty salon or clinic) to do it for you so that desirable results are achieved.

Waxing: As with the tweezing option, waxing can also give you several weeks or longer of hair free skin but given the relatively small space between the eyebrows, this might be a process best conducted by a professional lest you wax off more hair than you wanted.

Laser or Light-based treatment: Laser and light-based treatment can be a good option for unibrow removal since it may result in relatively long term hair removal of the unwanted hair. Given the size of the area that can be cleared with laser or light-based systems, unwanted eyebrow hair can usually be treated relatively quickly. Both processes need to be conducted by a professional so cost could be a factor in your decision.

Electrolysis: With Electrolysis, you might end up with permanent hair removal and since the space between your eyebrows is relatively small, Electrolysis is often a good choice to eliminate unibrow. Electrolysis can get expensive especially if multiple treatments are involved but it may offer you long term or even permanent results. As with laser and light-based options, Electrolysis needs to be conducted by a professional.

Temporary and permanent hair removal technology is evolving constantly and is relevant to both men and women who want to remove unwanted hair.

Hair Loss or Is Captain Picard Really Sexy?

Hair loss is not the end of your sex appeal. Think about it. Many women really love some famous men who are as bald as can be: Kojack (Telly Savalas), Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart), or even Detective Vick Mackey (Michael Chiklis). And even more fabulously sexy actors are losing their hair: Sean Connery and other famous men have the infamous receding hairline and women still swoon. In fact, some men voluntarily shave their heads completely bald by choice. So what?s the problem?

Losing your own hair can be a challenge. Your whole image of yourself is changing. You?re not used to seeing yourself that way. It?s an adjustment. Do you like the new guy in the mirror? Is he more than just his hairline? Or is there a lot of self-identity wrapped up in your full head of hair?

Do you know that in India and also among the American Indians, hair is seen as holding the memory of your life? They see it as containing a kind of imprint of what you have been through. While both cultures see it this way, they respond differently. To some American Indian tribes, hair is sacred, a source of strength that should never be cut, much like the story of Samson in the Bible. In India, the shaving of the hair is thought to release one from karma or the cause-effect of our actions.

Of course, if you don?t manage to begin to feel as sexy as Telly Savalas or Patrick Stewart, and you have no connection to the Indian rituals of shaving the head for purification, there are lots of treatments on the market. Some of them are snake oil and some of them work to one degree or another for different people.

Toupees are an option, but usually it?s obvious that you?re wearing a wig. Then there are creams and ointments and diet plans. There?s also hair replacement therapy. If you choose one of these routes, do some thorough research both into the method and into the practitioner offering you the treatment. Find out what has worked for others. Get more than one opinion. And if it doesn?t work, remember, you are still one sexy guy!

Hair Removal For A Man

Hair Removal For A Man may sound very odd. I mean we always picture men with beard and moustache and hairy bodies. Not any more! The smooth, shiny and clean man is the new fashion icon. You will never find a 'hairy' body builder nor will you ever see the man in the underwear advertisement as anything but clean and smooth. Hair Removal For A Man! Yes, it's here to stay.

Health, fitness and bodybuilding have primarily remained the top three concerns of any man trying to look good. With 'smooth skin' being added to this list, Hair Removal For A Man is something no body conscious male can ignore. So, welcome to the world of wax, depilatory creams and sugar pastes.

Hair Removal For A Man could include all the options that a woman normally has. He could wax, (well, you can already see that face twitch with pain), or sugar (Oh! dear! That pains too!) Or shave (at least that is something they are familiar with). And if you are really required to look smooth all the time, go for electrolysis or a laser treatment.

Waxing may not be the ideal method of Hair Removal For A Man. Applying a sticky messy solution on those hairy legs and pulling them away with strips of clothes in the direction opposite to that of your hair growth definitely sounds painful. More so when you think of the large amount of hair men have on their bodies. Lets check out the other options of Hair Removal For A Man.

Sugaring is very similar to waxing and can be considered only for men of the tolerating kind. Here the only difference is that instead of wax, one uses a sugar paste (I guess, men had rather eat them!). Shaving is a good option of Hair Removal For A Man. However, it would only make them pokier as lovers with all that stubble and rough skin. We can narrow down Hair Removal For A Man to Lasers and Electrolysis.

If you are man enough and are not scared of needles, go for Electrolysis. They may be the ideal answer to Hair Removal For Man. Electrolysis involves destroying the hair follicles when they are at the peak of their growing cycle. That sounds more exciting, doesn't it? But wait till you listen to how one does it? Well, they will pierce needles into your hair follicles and sent electric currents right to the root of your problem. Of course, in the process a non-sterile needle could give you AIDS or you could get yourself electrocuted if your technician is a novice.

The last option of Hair Removal For A Man is the Laser. Similar to electrolysis, laser treatment uses laser beams instead of electricity to pulse through your skin and kill those follicles. They are cheaper than Electrolysis. Permanent options are better for Hair Removal For A Man though they are expensive and time consuming. But if you are looking for short-term answers, go for the regular creams, wax and razors.

The Disaster of Hair Loss: Take It Easy

Human hair is one of those essential things that form the notion of beauty. Since long time ago hair comprised men power. Everyone knows the sad story of Samson who lost his incredible power after his wife Delilah had cut his long hair off.

Today it?s more the matter of beauty and looks rather than strength and power. And basically everyone knows why: plenty of ads, healthy lifestyle propaganda and social dimension of human existence. The problem is that the more we care about our hair, the less hairs we appear to have on our head. The world is facing the disaster of hair loss, which means more time and money will be spent on hair in future.

The problem is somewhere between environmental situation, stress, genes and harder brain work. Yet, hundreds of specialists that try to work the problem out are not quite positive about the real root of the hair loss pandemic all over the world. It?s mostly individual and can be either one negative factor or the group of negative factors that contribute to it.

Each hair on human?s body has its own follicle to grow from. The follicles produce cells that eventually turn to hairs. So, hairs are those dead cells that have been pushed out of follicle. It is normal to lose 50-100 hairs daily. If a person loses more, that can eventually lead to baldness.

Baldness is not that much devastating as it seems to be. It can be treated more or less successfully by special drugs like Propecia, and what?s more - it is not dangerous for your health. Still, the numbers show that about 50% of men of the world suffer from slight or severe baldness and the age groups go down averaging at 30-40.

People that start losing hair usually have to follow simple rules to prevent further hair loss. But if the problem grows to real baldness it is recommended that you consult a specialist first. Anyway, preventing methods are also appreciated. Hair needs care every single day. It is generally advised that you wash your hair due to your hair type and if you do that every day, then you have to find an appropriate shampoo and balsam, especially in summer.

Yet, it is pretty hard to stay cool, when there are so many myths around hair and baldness. Most of them basically touch men as men are considered to suffer from baldness more than women. In fact, men more suffer from the so called horse-shoe pattern around the sides of their head which makes the baldness more visible.

Another matter has something to do with the genetical theory of hair loss attaching a rumor that it is just enough to have a look at a father and you?ll see his son when he gets older, which is not biologically correct as assumes the sole influence of father?s genes in forming son?s cells.

Popular hair loss myths also include:

-it is useless to care about my hair as I cannot prevent my old age baldness anyway;

-baldness can be one of the side effects of shampoo/balsam overuse;

-it is harmful for the hair to wear a hat etc.

Celebrity Beauty Secrets What They Are and How You can Copy Them

You are probably wondering how celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Jessica Simpson & Hilary Duff look so gorgeous all the time? How does their hair always look so perfect and well-conditioned?

What?s the Secret?

Well the secret is in the tools, the products and the stylist.

You can create these looks at home, and one of the best tips is:- the less time you spend on it the better it will look. Now you are probably wondering how, but if you think it takes 8-20mins to straighten your hair, you may start to believe me.

Here?s some great tips that you can use at home that will help you to look even better. These tips come not only from personal experiences but also from the celebrity stylists, who help to create a great red carpet look.

So here we go, read on for the ultimate in celebrity hair tips.

How to get that ?Going to the Oscars? Glamour

Whenever you see a picture of a celebrity on the red carpet, you are probably thinking how amazing they look. And what you can see is a hairstyle that has taken months of planning and trips to the stylists in order to look absolutely Hollywood perfect.

Before the big event, the celebrity will consult with their stylist about how they want to look, but also ask advice from their hairdressers on how to look up to date, but also very sexy and feminine.

Those who kept up with the times on the red carpet this year went for very large Hollywood curls, with an extra rich colour and shine. To recreate this look here are some tips on how to curl your hair so you can look just as elegant. Create Great Curls

If you have just bought yourself some very expensive straighteners, or you are thinking about it, why not consider the idea of curling your hair with straighteners? You can get more controllable curls which are far easier to manage than your natural hair is!

Try:-

1. Make sure that your hair is semi-straight, or if not straighten it.

2. Spray on some heat-protection spray and then divide your hair into sections. The fewer the number of sections the tighter the curls will be.

3. Take the straightener and clamp it over the top of the section, then whilst pulling down the straighteners turn the straightener round. To produce a tighter curl clamp harder with the straighteners and pull harder when you bring it down.

4. Do not brush your hair after you have done this, but simply tease through with your fingers. And add some shine spray.

Another way to curl your hair that always creates great celebrity styles hair effect is to use some heated rollers. The type of rollers that you should get should depend on how long and thick your hair is, and how tight the curl that you want to achieve is.

I would recommend for short thin hair to use a straightener (the above method) or tongs, for thick medium length hair to use some medium sized heated rollers and for really long hair I would use some very large velcro rollers. Try using these on wet hair and then drying off with a hair dryer (be sure to have plenty of hair grips on hand however).

The most perfect thing about celebrities hair is that it always appears in perfect condition. Just think, can you remember every seeing Jennifer Aniston with her hair looking messed up?!

Many celebrities will have plenty of deep conditioning treatments at their salon before the big event. These treatments will vary from Damage Restructuring to Deep Conditioning and Detoxifying.

There are plenty of high street products out there that are suitable for home use and you can pick them up on the high street for reasonable prices. I would always recommend that you look on the back and see the list of ingredients, the more chemicals it has in it, the worse it will be for your hair in the long run.

You may wish to consider trying some organic haircare products, which are not always as expensive as you think, and with organic followers like Gwyneth Paltrow and Elle McPherson you will be in great company!

Or indeed for a special event such as a prom or a ball, why not go down to your local hairdresser or beauty salon and have a hair wrap or mask? These may be quite expensive but will definitely get you the look that you desire and it?s worth treating yourself for a special event.

Always check with the salon about which treatment they think will be right for you, because not all of them will be suitable for your hair type.
